An absolutely beautiful and rare Victorian momento mori pendant necklace. The skull pendant is engraved to the back, "momento mori" with old cut diamonds set to the eyes. Has a full hallmark for Birmingham 1893. Absolutely beautiful piece that reminds us we will die and to enjoy each day we breathe. Once had a drop which is missing but you could add your own special pendant. The necklace chain is also 9ct gold but a later belcher addition and suits the skull perfectly.
